Our Journey

In May 2019, Mexico City woke up to a thick, gray haze in the air. This was the beginning of one of the worst environmental emergencies caused by air pollution in the Mexican capital's history. Inspired by this alarming situation, we decided to take action and thought of a solution to the air pollution emergency – this is how we created Clair.

We have pioneered the carbon capture industry by building Clair City – a biologically-fueled portable carbon capture device for the transportation sector capable of capturing the equivalent of up to 70% of the emissions produced by a heavy-duty vehicle. This has led us to be named the best cleantech startup in Mexico, top 3 in LATAM, and among the best 3% worldwide by ClimateLaunchpad, a European Union-backed innovation contest.

We are developing our prototype and looking for partners to support us in increasing our impact exponentially in the Americas and the world.
